Secondary virgin, Yvonne Nelson says she is single because men are intimidated by her success

Yvonne Nelson on The KSM’s Show on Metro TV last Friday talked  about her career and relationship issues. She stated that she is a secondary virgin and would want to be that for long as she is not in a rush to marry and she wants to concentrate more on her career.
“This year I’m a secondary virgin I’m just trying to concentrate on my career. I’m not in a rush; I don’t want to marry today and divorce tomorrow because it happens a lot in the industry. Marriage is a beautiful thing but it has to be right. I don’t want to let my mom down, I want to make her and myself happy”, she said.
Touching on the subject of problems she faces in her relationship the actress said men are intimidated by her success and being an independent lady, they feel she will be bossy and it has always been a problem,.
“Most Ghanaian men are intimidated; most often when it’s age appropriate; then they think I’m doing better than them and that I’m going to be bossy and control them around. Those around my age are bothered that I’m an independent lady. That has always been the problem”
“There was about two guys who got scared. But I really don’t mind. Middle of last year, I was trying out something and I wasn’t convinced so I backed off. It had to do with the man not being matured enough” she explained.
She however talked about her dream man saying; “The person has to be age appropriate – a five year gap is okay. But I don’t want someone too old because when that happens, you can’t hold a conversation with such a person”.
The producer also explained that she does not want to date anyone in the industry especially John Dumelo as according to her, the actor is a ladies’ man and will forever be.

Contained in the prosecution’s statement, is a harrowing detail of how KKD forcibly deflowered a virgin teenager Ewuraffe Orleans-Thomp­son on that 27th December night at African Regent Hotel in Accra.

Athough the teenager has said she will not cooperate any longer with Police, the State is still bent on prosecuting the popular entertainer.

Below is the prosecutions’ statement.

Will say that she is a student and lives at Katamanso with her parents. That on 27th December 2014, she accompanied her cousin Abena Konadu Owusu-Akyaw, to attend the ‘Rip The Runway’ Fashion show at the African Regent Hotel, Airport.

That when they arrived at the hotel, they met Kofi Kyei, Abena Konadu Owusu-Akyaw’s brother who was also one of the organisers of the event. That since the event had not started, she and Abena Konadu Owusu-Akyaw decided to go for a walk. That on their way out, at the drop off area they met the accused who immediately said “Wow! What beautiful  girls. You are glamazons.”

That he asked about their schools and wanted to know if they were models. That they answered in the negative. That the accused asked that they wait with him for his cousin Kofi Okyere Darko hereinafter referred to as “KOD”. That she and Abena agreed and followed the accused to the lobby and when KOD arrived, the accused introduced her and Abena as his new friends.

That after exchanging pleasantries, the accused intimated that he wanted to make them the face of Ghana Tourism Campaign and they took photographs to that effect.

That she, Abena, the accused, KoD and Benny Blanco went upstairs where they were led into a suite. That Blanco left the suite, leaving the four of them on the balcony of the suite. That the accused left them and walked into the living room beckoning at her to join him.

That when she joined him, the accused asked her to help him powder his face as he walked towards the bathroom. That the accused gave her more tissue to pad up as he washed his penis. That the accused promised to give her Postinor 2 to avoid pregnancy.

That shortly after, someone knocked on the door and the accused responded and he asked her to be quick. That she tidied up and flushed the blood and stained tissue papers in the water closet and they walked out.

That when they came out she informed Abena that the accused had raped her. That she was crying and told Abena everything that had happened. That Abena called her brother and after narrating everything to him, they took her to Nyaho Medical Centre where she was examined. That they then went to the Airport Police Station where she lodged a complaint.

That she was given a medical form to attend a government hospital. That she went to the Police Hospital where she was examined and she submitted the endorsed forms to the police.

That she gave statements to the Police.

Kwaw Kese releases new single about his trial, "Masa I Beg"

Fante Rapper Kwaw Kese who is currently standing trial at a Kumasi court for allegedly smoking wee in public has finally released a single about the incident that led to his arrest and his experience at the Kumasi central prisons.

The song titled “Masa I Beg” is an account of how his arrest, his several court appearances, the judge’s initial refusal to grant him bail and life in prison during his six weeks stay in remand.

In the song, Kwaw Kese seemed to be pleading with authorities to pardon him with his offense and advising the youth to stay away from drugs. The song “Masa I beg” was produced by Ball J featuring Ike Wonder.
